Why do we use it?

It is a well-known fact that readers are distracted by readable text on a page when studying the layout. The point of Lorem Ipsum is that it provides a normal flow of words, unlike “Text here, Text here”, and gives the impression of being readable text. Many publishing programs and web developers use Lorem Ipsum as test text, and a search for “Lorem Ipsum” reveals many web pages under development.

Different versions have appeared over the years, sometimes by accident, sometimes on purpose (more or less humorous).
